Oh my gosh! You sound so calm...my husband and I (because we didn't know any better) took out all the grids to clean them, and upon putting them back, we were NOT calm..although we did use many other four letter words. Thanks for the videos. They have been a HUGE help! -Maudy

Oh my god. Upside down is the best advice I've seen since taking the damned thing apart. Once I watched this video, my husband and I put it together in less than 10 minutes. Just be sure that the large notch on the bottom lines up with the manifold on the top. Thanks so much

I know this video is what NINE years old but it helped my pool guy AKA Hubby. He has SAME set up since 1991!! He took it out to replace a rib (as he calls them) and he said it fell apart. He's replaced some before with no issue. I saw him struggling from my view on my porch to the yard while I'm internet-ing :P . I have no clue what I asked Mr Google but I showed him this. He's very thankful! "Much easier" he said. Ya, dinner was an hour later, he HAD to get her done! Now to find other parts that are discontinued :(

The first time I cleaned my grids I...did it the hard way! Took me half a day to get the thing back together again. It was so much fun that this year, I did it again!

Thank you! This saved my sanity. I saw another video where he did it this way too, but when he put the "bottom" manifold on the top, he shook it a little bit and the grids all fell into place within about 10 seconds.

Thanks. This is the second time I have used your video to fill in the many gaps in my memory. Only thing I would like to add (and I know I've read it elsewhere), wear gloves when handling the filter grids. I believe some component of them includes fiberglass.

many helpful videos seem to skip the most crucial parts. Besides doing them upside down. I often place the top manifold on an open bucket, the real tip here is to shake the assembly, rotating the bottom manifold clock and counter clockwise repeatedly. many if not most of the grids will pop into the right places. after that, THEN I finger push the remaining grids into the correct slots. the newer Pentairs have circular spots on the bottom manifold that can be lined up with the tubes in the center of each grid. 30 years in the pool industry, double root canals are still more fun than DE filters, but hope this helps a little.

IQ is defined: average IQ= 100. So the top of the Bell curve is IQ = 100. The lower you are on the Bell curve the more trouble you will have with any task. If you think of it as an intelligence test, you will try harder, complain less, and blame your self if others catch on quicker.

This is my exact filter. Why didn't you start over so we could see where the small filter goes. That was the most important part of this whole thing and you breezed over where the small one goes. Ugh.
