@@vicmed6088 nice I had to put on a 200 amp alternator to power my accesories, when I was watching this. the factory cables are sized for the connections so you can't really screw it up with a new install. we get -60°f weather so I needed an extra heater.

The mechanic told me he had to charge the batteries to full charge before he can connect the wires to the alternator. Is that true?

some mechanics advice that,but its not really going to do much,the batteries will fully charge when you run it,
