Replacing Broken Antenna on 2017 Toyota Tundra

Somebody broke off my antenna and it snapped the bolt below the area where I could easily get something into reverse it out. Used a drill to tap the side of the antenna bolt and worked it out with small tools. Replaced with an 8" rubber antenna.

Use a small punch and punch a small spot in the center of the remaining piece of the antenna. Then get a small left hand drill bit, put the drill in reverse and hopefully the remaining piece of the antenna will unscrew itself out..

Thank you - Worked for me, I noticed when I was drilling that it was spinning, so I just reversed the drill and with a little pressure was able to spin it out!

Man, this worked fantastically!!!! Thank you. I had the same exact issue. I drilled into the broken piece and had a small enough phillips screwdriver and it bit and I was able to back out the broken piece super simple. Thank you sir!!!

That happened to me too. I drilled a small pilot hole in the center of mine and used a screw extractor drill bit that twists counterclockwise to unscrew it out.

WIshed I'd thought to look when my 2016 Tundra antenna broke off the 1st time. Yep >$200 at Toyota dealer....2nd time found this video. Thank You Obviously Toyota should re-engineer this!

Eaiser way. Use a small drill bit and drill down an 8th inch. Insert small Allen wrench and back the stud out. If you have any issues the rubber boot pulls out; to re-insert the boot put a little dish liquid on the rubber and push it back in.

Mine broke when I went thru a car wash and forgot to remove the antennae. Fastest way is to try to drill out with a small left handed drill bit. The bit will drill into the broken stump up to a point where the bit will bind and then the broken part will screw right out of the hole.

This right here. I drilled into the broken shaft with a 1/16 drill bit. All I had to do was put slight pressure to one side and slowly reverse the drill bit and it unscrewed the broken shaft.

Some body bad ass son threw a ball and it literally hit my antenna on my 2020 Chevy and I had the bullet Antenna on there!!! The mother talking about how much 10-15$ No I paid 50$ total

Just wondering about your new rubber antenna, now that it’s been a few months. Is it still picking up all the local stations?

No, it doesn't work as well as the OEM antenna, I do not suggest that you get an antenna this short. It's "ok" in the city (I'm in Dallas-Fort Worth, one of the largest metro areas in the country) but on trips out in the country reception is very poor.
