Thanks for posting this video. I had to replace the pin and bushings in my driver door. I had no way of getting the factory pins in until you mentioned cutting them. Thank you! Went through 2 saw blades on my cutter but I got them! Struggling now to get the pins back in though. The teeth on the top of the pin just refuse to sink into the bushing. I think I'm going to have to take the door off the hinge and pound them in, then bold the door back on the hinge. I hope that makes sense. I'd love to hear if you have any suggestions other than what I plan to do. Definitely a pain in the butt to do by myself. 😣

Jordan, you weren't specifically clear on the process, so I'm gonna need you to come over and show me personally how it's done. One other piece of advice is to put the pins into a freezer before you install them so that they constrict slightly for easier installation.

You put that bottom hinge top bushing in upside down, should have been put through the top of the hole.....

yes, all else is spot on.. but that Bottom,top Bushing was upside down.

Its very embarrassing to slam you're door only to make a loud, unusual bang and it fly back open. Then having to pick up on it to close it.

DO NOT FOLLOW THIS WRONG ADVICE. There is no need to remove the door hinge and then have all that extra work of realigning the door. Just remove any retainer clips and knock out the pins and bushings with punches. Then use a nut, bolt, and washers to squeeze in the new LUBRICATED bushings. Then tap in the LUBRICATED pin and install the retainer if applicable.

Just mark where the door hinge was with a sharpie or paint pen. It’s really not that hard if you’re not an idiot.

You installed the lower hinge bushing the wrong way. The flat part needs to support the door side.

You could try to drill out the top of the bottom of the pin, but cutting it is much easier

You either have to drill out the top head of the pin or cut it in the middle as JPK showed. There's no way to get it out without doing either option.

I buy all my parts on rockauto dot com. Its a pretty simple set up and process. Just make ABSOLUTLEY sure your parts are proper to begin with because returns... Are a SUPER pain in the arse. Otherwise. I have bought many many things for many many different cars on rockauto. As long as you have a window of allowable waiting time. Ground shipping is about 5 days. Then, the prices are well worth the effort of shopping for yourself.

Also the pins for doors (after you have established your vehicle... And are now in its own menu of parts) will be under Body; then Door Hinge Kit. For any car.
