​@@justanotherotrguyyeah what he's talking about is the speaker will play in reverse polarity. Basically you could hook up the positive wire to the negative terminal and vice versa and instead of the speaker being pushed out work when it plays it gets pulled in word. If it's getting pulled in word it's basically pulling sound down towards the magnet and when you have it hooked up to the "right once" meaning positive to positive and negative to negative the speaker operate properly and project the sound outward.

Install Rockford Fosgate 6x4… only problem my factory oem speaker grill cover doesn’t go back on.. cause coil is sticking out little more then factory speaker… so got find custom grill…

For company drivers. They got this thing called T clamps. This way you don't have to cut off the adapter and get in trouble. My wires were black and brown. Didn't pay attention so I don't know which one is negative. Use the blue T clamp for the truck wires. And the red connector thing gets crimped on the wire that comes with the speaker When it's time to trade trucks or whatever, just release and throw some tape on it. I'll let you know how long they last. I used Boss speakers. It's kinda meh. Got any good Bass recommendations?

Are you referring to stock bass speakers or standalone box's? JL makes great speakers as well as pioneer, Orion and Rockford Fosgate. Some of them are pretty pricey but worth it. What truck are you running? Running subwoofers may require additional battery power

@@887Bingo yea man I'd go easy if it's a company truck with adding too much. You might be able to get away with asking them if it'd be ok to add some bass to your stereo and see how they react. If they don't mind you could always take it to a car audio installer to get it rigged and let them know it needs to be removable without any hole drilling or cosmetic alterations, so they don't have a shit fit bc you put a sub in there. I'm gonna make a video at some point installing some amps and subs, as soon as I get it all bought!

The factory 4x6 door speakers in my 2020 T680 are labeled as part number# PP307006. 8 ohms. 50W. I also bought the Sony XS-R4646 4"x6" from WalMart but they sit just slightly taller after mounting and therefore the speaker grill will not snap back on. Additionally the "oval" on the inside of the speaker grill is NOT the same oval size as the Sony XS-R4646 speaker. You would need to shave the plastic on the inside of the speaker grill to make it snap back on with a factory fit. While I could modify the speaker grilles, I will be returning the Sony speakers and ordering factory replacements since this is for a company driver and only one speaker was torn. I'm seeing prices of $15-23 for one speaker which is about the same price as one of the Sony XS-R4646 speaker (which you have to buy as a pair so the box is actually $40). Dont want to put any more time than necessary to get it working. YMMV and GL

Look into the KICKER CSC46 CS Series 4 x 6 150 Watt 4 Ohm speakers. I had the same problem and the kicker speakers fit way better

@@justanotherotrguy Ah, thank you. Mine is a company truck, 2020. Ive shined a light in the housing a couple of times. The cover is rectangular, but the speaker appears round. If they're a standard size, maybe 5.25" or 6.5".

Not necessarily unless you are doing some serious upgrading. Even then most of the mid range speakers will run just fine on the stock wiring

Most aftermarket speakers will have different wiring plugs than stock speakers. Unless you find some that match your stock plug, you'll have to replace it.

Does anyone know what size the rear speakers by the floor size is? Mines a t880 with the useless NAV plus crap (terrible system). I replaced the 4x6 fronts but want to know the rear size and I'm having troubles finding the size online. It's a 2020 daycab t880. Speakers are on b pillar by floor

Probably. Most the wiring and connectors are super similar. You'll have a positive wire and a negative wire to your speaker, regardless what they look like. If you have a test light or a multimeter you can unplug the speaker and turn on the power to test which wire is which & the process would be the same as my video. Let me know if you have any other thoughts!

Pulled mine today from a '21 T680. My rear bulkhead speakers are 6.0-inch. The speakers are only $4 each retail, so you can imagine why Kenworth installs them their trucks. Here is the OEM speaker number you can google: PP302532 4-OHM 35w. I am replacing the OEM crap with Rockford Fosgate 6-inch Punch 16 Coaxial speakers. Set of two speakers at Amazon $99.
