What i mean is the little loop on the end of my 2mm cuban link chain, it just needs sqeezed a little bit in order to fit through the bail of the pendant that i have

You should be able to do that with pliars. Just be careful because 10k is more brittle/hard so it is more likley to crack than 14k or 18k. Let us know how you do!

@@egadjewelry6025 yeah, the only thing i worry about is the solder that attaches the endcap that im going to bend together a little bit braking, but I will just be careful doing it and I will definitely let you know👍

Nicely done. I was wondering what size torch tip did you use for that job?
@egadjewelry60252 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you! I don't remember what size torch tip was used, but it shouldn't matter as long as you can get a soft flame about that size. We are using an oxygen and propane torch.

Can i carefully squeeze the end of my chain where the loop is that hooks on the clasp so that it fits through a pendant bail that i have, both are 10k, it seems straight forward or is it a bad idea??

Do you save the dust from cutting the pieces or do you just throw it away in the trash?
@egadjewelry60253 жыл бұрын
Yes, we always save the dust and filings. There is still gold in those and it adds up!
