I am currently in the middle of doing that myself. I've got a 2004 VW Passat GL Wagon with FWD 1.8T 5-Speed Manual. Shadow Blue Metallic with black, grey, and anthracite interior. Pretty much the works without the sun roof. Heated leather seats and so on. I purchased a set of non black out Halo Projectors with the LED rings which go nicely with my LED bulbs. Great great ride that just wants to keep running. Thanks for the vid. Be joining with my VW Club at VolksFest in WI this year. Doing my best to get it up to par. Not many on the road these days.

Do you buy separate bulbs from the ones that come with the housing? Because I was told that if you don't, you will get condensation because the ones that come with it are "test" bulbs. Anybody confirm that this is true or is it nonsense?

Unfortunately most carmakers do this now, and sometimes you have to do this just to change the bulb. Good luck with your repairs!
