I had just bought myself a MacBook Air M1 and moving from years of Windows laptop since I had stop gaming. One think impress me most of Macbook is the battery life is super amazing and it only took me a couple of hour to get to familiarize with the function key, control, setting and environment. It is much simpler overall. One thing I do not agree now is that the Macbook is as lasting as the windows base laptop since there is many report of sudden failure due to logic board and cost a bomb to replace and the ssd failure will consider your laptop brick since there is no option to boot with windows security lockdown. That being said I am still using both environment for my daily task and both had it pro and cons. Adding on the bluetooth is not consistance, for no reason you will lose the connection the next time you boot up. Given that the limited connectivity we use external bluetooth and mouse extensively, perhap apple should give more concentration to this area as well for such a premium price device.

I'm a Windows PC user. I have also an M2 MacBook Air to include two notebooks on Linux different flavors. No one device is replacing any of the other. And I don't believe anyone will replace a device for another. It only exists on YT videos for clickbaits.

Watching this on my budget laptop Acer Aspire 3. A windows laptop updated with the current software updates. I own an iPhone 13 (256gb) blue variant baseline model. A Samsung S7 FE tablet and an android phone which is a 4 year old Realme XT. I have to say that using a windows laptop with all of these ecosystems is much better than using a macbook. Macbook Air tablets can be aesthetic but sometimes can't get the work done especially with a lot of security layers it has. I used my girlfriend's macbook air before and I had a hard time finishing up my school works with it, not because of the fact that I'm a windows laptop user ever since. But because it's the way it is.

I don't understand the bit about the confidence in the chassis, the macbook is a harder metal, which means if you ding it, if you bend it, if you crush it, if you smash it, it's toast. The LG is more malleable and thus should inspire MORE confidence, it's a lighter metal alloy but it can withstand bending forces, and impacts much better than the macbook chassis can.

I think Windows laptops gain some competitive edge with the new Snapdragon X Series. A lot of the new thin and light laptops are also well built with premium materials as well. Would love to see your review on some of the newest models.

I've used both and i have to say, if you arent buying a laptop with any specific job in mind, macbook is your best buy. But if you are a professional and needs a laptop with highly specific specs to get your job done, then things get complicated. Macbooks offer a much higher value for money than most windows laptops(which is so weird, right? An apple providing value for money?😂 but its true)

Well yeah. That's kind of how it works. You can give an idea of how each product preforms in tasks n stuff, but ultimately its up to you which way you go. You might watch this video and decide to go Windows while I decided to go Mac. Cause that's what we felt work for our use cases. Its basically impossible to give an absolute answer to something like this.

Is the memory management really better on macOS? Windows will always load nearly 50% of your RAM with stuff that you could use to make it snappier to open those. But when you hit 80%, it will release the memory so that you can use nearly all of it. I have 16 Go on my laptop and some python script achieved using 14Go which is not bad. I have never gotten my hands on a Mac, but it seems that Macs do similar things but tend to use swap more easily. Using swap is a good solution when you don't have a lot of memory left, but in the long term, it will reduce the lifespan of your SSD.
