Why aren't you using 4200 marine caulk? It works excellent.

Ah you're right, I'm a dingus. I was thinking 4200 was more of a bonding agent rather than sealant. I just looked at 3M's comparison chart and the 4200 probably makes the most sense. Will definitely pick up a tube to us in the future!

silicone caulking is for houses on land. Its not going to work very well for very long on your boat. 4200 as mentioned would be a good choice or even white sikaflex would be better than the silicone.

Yeah, I just did a bunch of research, you two are right. I kept thinking 4200 was a bonding agent rather than a sealant!
