Cheers for the vid fella, my fucking backbox just dropped off on a drive, rotted through at the flange to the centre pipe so it was hanging. Took it off the hangers, then spent 45 minutes I'll never get back trying to get the bastard remnants of the flange off. Are the nuts welded to the centre pipe behind the flange? One of my springs was replaced with a regular bolt (and a regular nut!) and the other one with the spring had a square nut that I had to hold with socket to get out. Backbox ordered, wouldn't have even bothered without your vid so thanks again

Glad it helped.. the bolts meant to wind into a thread on the centre box flange but this can get stripped so it won't bite the thread properly. If this is the case find a nut that fits the bolt and use that to secure it behind the centre pipe flange.. hope that helps

@@seansautos152 cheers, aye I thought given you only used one ratchet that they'd be welded. One was already a normal bolt with a 14mm nut, the other was the spring bolt into the square nut (which I assume was welded and broke off). Efforts. New backbox £48 coming Friday so will have a crack at that thanks to you posting this (Y)

The car was on the ground mate there's enough space to access the back box.. I do always use axle stands if car jacked up.. Thanks for the concern though mukka
