Cool vid 👍🏻 but I’d add … copper grease pads and I always wire brush the hub before fitting new disc Also, take care when removing them torx screws holding disc as I stripped one once 😐 which was a reet pain in the arse You can lever piston back in with large screwdriver but obviously piston tool better

For someone who is doing this on his own without a brake tool when replacing with the new pads ..is there a way to do that step without that tool?
@TheSaintsFCАй бұрын
Use your old brake pad and a screw driver to push it back in. Make sure to open the brake fluid reservoir though.

4:00 I would add that if the car starts could be working for a just a little bit with one or more cylinders less. Don’t worry about it, is the air in the fuel system and it will eventually bleed out with some normal driving

Never measure the old tie rod, count the number of threads it took to remove the outer tie rod from the inner tie rod. It's more accurate so you never need an alignment after.
@smith27uk25 күн бұрын
I'll probably do that, wheel alignment is such a rip off, cheapest around here nowadays is £35 but it can be around £50 or £60, I'll probably take the car up to high speed after changing the rods and see if there's any vibration before deciding to get it tracked or not, then keep an eye on my tyres for abnormal wear !!!

I take it there is no coolant in the tank if sensor missing?
@seansautos1527 ай бұрын
You would need to buy a sensor fit the sensor and fill the coolant to correct level and see if this resolves the issue

Bless you man. Took a long time to get that back panel off as mine had 2 screws underneath. Got enough on it to open the tailgate with the metal rod that had dislodged. Put some tape on that to stop it coming off again. Like reverse what you showed and working so far. Will leave it a few days see if it keeps working
