replacing snake cable on a crafter

That’s a great video Tony.. 👍 I have a scrapped chain on my sprinter right now, and wondered we’re it clicked in . My cable snapped so couldn’t work out we’re it was from . This video helps massively.. gaz

Thanks doin this just now on my sprinter and the wee clip that goes onto the plastic isnt obvious so that helped though still having abit of bother lol

Nice one Tony. Not sure if you’re aware, there are little plugs that cover over the step bolt holes. If you want, I could take a photo of one and see if you can locate them online. Think there was a vid on these too on the Freedom Strider page. Cheers

Sunnycampers I should have said in the video I put the plugs back in. The water still gets in that’s why I thought of the Vaseline. At least I can remove it with a cloth later.

Thanks for this video, it's appreciated, I don't have anything wrong with my crafter's snake at the moment. I came across your video from searching about the snake wiring, as I've fitted an exterior led awning light to my sliding door, and want to tap into a 12v lead in the snake. I don't suppose you have taken any photos of said wiring whilst you were doing the replacement of your snake? Greetings from a fellow UK guy living in Finland.

Hi could you not just use existing door cable and fit it to new roller ?

If it’s not busted then yes mine was all busted at the door end and I think it was only about £30
