Replacing Speakers | 2003 VW Golf

Wynter Replaces her door speakers in her 2003 VW MKIV Golf. Easy step-by-step video explaining how to do a speaker upgrade.
The stock speakers on the Mk4 Volkswagen definitely needed to go. This project wasn't hard by any means, but it was definitely pretty time consuming. With her previously installed upgraded radio, the sound system sounds ten times better than it originally did.

i would recommend to use a drill instead of a screwdriver do get out the pins from the speaker. i would love to know a girl like that omg.. and love her shirt so much

Dont use a screwdriver to punch out the rivets!, show the order of taking off screws, disconnecting electronnics and then removing door. Many guides on this that do a better job and instruction. If you do a instructional guide its fine to be a newb, but dont show people what not to do, unless you actually say to not do that :), easy to put in a comment in the video, saying do not do this and so on.

hi, first of all, amazing video and very helpful. just one tip, you guys made this extra hard for yourself by soldering the wires. You can buy an adapter that will connect your new speakers to the old wire clip. Also, you should never cut or solder wires as it decreases the audio quality. check this video at 4:28, at how you should do it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHKlpYB7ecmGr7s

You do, it screws into the panel with those two phillips head screws

@@lil0of yeah with two, not all of them. passenger handle can stay on. just remove the 2 screws in the deeper and bigger holes.

i got 5-1/4” 2 way speakers for all around but the kit did come with an adapter which is what you see us install in the video. so far i havent had any issues and its still been working just fine🙂

@@wyntersentz9580 ...what was the NAME of the "kit"? Pretty important unless you don't mind leaving everyone with this nagging question. It would be most helpful for most people viewing, they looked like the speakers you took out but that couldn't be. The ONLY aftermarket speakers that have that factory type of speaker frame are Focal as far as I know, but pretty hard to tell because of the editing of the video.
