This video was so smooth and packed with info that I feel like melted butter

I like your video. I am doing this on my 83 K5 Blazer. I struggled with the hidden upper bolts on the front frame bushing bracket, especially the passenger side. Between rust and the worst access imaginable, I am exhausted. I am going with polyurethane on both the front frame and the end link bushings. Tomorrow I will tackle getting those old bushings out of the end links.

Rust is no fun, hopefully the rest of the job goes well! I found the poly bushings to be easiest to install. I hammered the old bushings out. I've heard of people using a bottle jack to press it out too.

Great video sir. I can assume at this point you did not choose to do cross over steering in your burb?
@shouldaboughtayota2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the positive feedback! My Burb's steering setup is still OEM design. I'm not too familiar with the cross over steering modification. Unless you're referring to the Jeep XJ steering swap?

@@shouldaboughtayota not exactly there my man. Cross over steering changes the steering from push pull to across like newer vehicles. There are multiple companies that offer the kit like off road design, K5 Motor City, and some others that I cannot recall at this current time. There are several videos on KZbin that will explain it and show install as well. Hope this helps

I would love it if someone could show how to press those bushings in.

I'm with ya there. Without a press, those one-piece bushings seem impossible to install. I was very thankful for the two-piece bushings doing it myself
