Replacing the Boston Whaler Drain Tube

In this video I replace my bottom brass drain tube on my 1986 13' Boston Whaler. Replacing the bottom tube is challenging because of the limited access from the inside of the boat and the steep angle on the outside of the stern.

To make the parts, open that link and export the parts for the die and sphere as ".step" files. Then upload them to a site like craftcloud3d.com. You can get an estimate in a few seconds after you pick what material to use for printing. Mine were printed with MJF Nylon PA12.

Another guy did the lower angled one on the boat with a trailer ball. Easy and came out perfect

I think I'd try to make a wedge at the required angle. If you prefer the ball, may be drill a hole through a ball bearing. You can get pre-drilled iron balls for about 2.50 each.

Great video! I'm doing the same drain tube on my 92 whaler 17' montauk.. the two in the splash well I have.. but I can't find the bilge drain tube anywhere. Can I ask your source for a cut to length tube?

Supposed to slide it through and mark/measure is 3/16-1/4” longer then flare.
