Great video. As a ford tech i see this broke CONSTANTLY. We have a few of these cars from the sheriff’s office, i call them cutesy, used for citizen observer patrol. Had 2 come in for an AC concern, neither of which i could verify, ac was ice cold. So i move on to doing a timing cover reseal/ valve cover gasket, and see the coolant light pop up for a split second while pulling it into my lift. So i get out and pop the grommet off, and what do you know, the locking tab was broke! And when that sensor is unplugged the AC shuts off too, thinking the car is overheating.. so i tell my apprentice to pull in the other, that we couldnt verify last week.. pop the grommet off that one and what do you know.. easy repair, these locking tabs constantly break being in that location; especially when oil leaks from the valve covers into that valley, theyll break on you every time. Good work 👍🏻

I have to admire your willingness to tackle something like this. I also have accumulated many older Craftsman tools even some my parents gave me when I was 16. Just an FYI if you ever have the need there is a KZbin channel from Avoca, NY by Eric O, called South Main Auto Repair. He is an amazing mechanic that gets jobs from other shops that have given up or just thrown parts at a problem. His diagnostic skills are epic and he has many videos on KZbin. Thanks for the video and sharing your solution.
