Replacing The Glow Plugs On My High Mileage Audi A6 C6 Avant 3.0 TDI V6 ASB

Good evening everybody! Thanks for dropping in on my latest maintenance video - granted it's not going to be riveting viewing for some of you, but I wanted to document this job. Also, there's not many videos on replacing glow plugs for the ASB engine, so although this is not strictly a 'how to' video, it may prove useful to some of you 👍🏽.

Hi thank you for very useful video. Did you just unplugged rubber wiring harness connectors? Is there enough room? Mine are brittle as yours. Saw electric sellotape etc. Will that be a problem? Thank you. Wanna change all 6 as well

Hi there, thanks for watching, apologies for the delay in responding. Yeah, you just unplug the connectors, but they are likely to be brittle due to numerous heat cycles. I can't see an issue with using tape, but I'm not an expert, and I'm a hobbyist mechanic at best.

Hi, would you know if this is the same 3.0 TDI they put in the 2012 Touareg? We just had to replace 2 glow plugs, and the dealer charged $700. I'd like to change the others out myself, but I don't have a lot of experience with her VW.

Can you help me? I have The same car.. audi a6 c6 3.0 tdi asb .. i have an error P162c .. i Change The glow plugs and The relee .. but The first start of The engine when îs Cold outside îs verry bad ...

Hi there, thanks for watching, and thanks for the comment. After a quick Google (not always the most effective way to treat fault codes), the code you have provided doesn't seem to relate to the glow plugs or the relay. I'd recommend booking the car in for a diagnostic as a fault code doesn't always tell the full story.
