Beautiful car you have. Town cars are the best cars made I have an older 1999 for the last 6 years and been the most reliable car I've ever owned it just keeps running I do regular maintenance myself. Mine was just rear ended a few months ago but still drives fine. going to upgrade to 2006 and up for the rack n pinion steering and the extra features. Love the town cars best cars out there most quiet and very comfortable cruiser best bang for the buck..

I agree mine has 212000 miles regular maintenance uses no oil still runs and rides excellent

I replaced my Crown Vic headlights with after market a couple yrs ago. I lucked out no problems working good. My understanding some aftermarket bulbs that come with these headlights last a short time. Good u are replacing bulbs with name brands.

I should have probably replaced all those bulbs which came with headlights, but at least now I'm pretty comfortable with removal / replacement so not a big deal at this point. Bulbs are pretty cheap so no point in looking for trouble with aftermarket ones.

I had a '92 Ford Probe that gave me problems with the left directional. The flasher turned out to be electronic and $57 everywhere I went. I opened the flasher box and found a bad solder connection. I re-soldered it and had no problem since. Thought this might help.

I like cornering lamps. I have had a number of cars that had them. I have had a couple vehicles with the directional headlamps (kind of a modern version) but I actually prefer the cornering lamps because I think they are more effective. I currently have an '04 Buick Century with them but because of the curve of the headlamp assembly and the forward location of the lamp they are not quite as effective as they could be but still a nice feature. Another cool night feature I had on a 1990 Buick Estate Wagon once were fender mounted lamp monitors. They were little pods at the far edge of the front fenders that would light up via fiber optics when your lights were on to let you know if a bulb was burned out. Now those were old school cool! I think GM only ever used them mostly on high end Buicks and Cadillacs and some Olds.

I had cornering headlights on my 2010 LaCrosse. I barely noticed any movement :) I've seen those fender indicators on Cadillacs but never drove a car with them. As far these cornering lights, cool idea for a land yacht considering you have 18ft of car trying to make a turn :)

It was pretty annoying the first time I noticed they were off. It's pretty easy - as you can see and takes like minutes.

You're Lincoln looks much like mine same interior. Same color except mine has bronze around bottom looks to be about condition. 212000 miles no where near as many problems. Only major repair right rear axle. My fault waited to long to replace wheel bearings $400. I've been told common problem in Lincoln marquee and crown vics with high mileage. Wheel bearings that is. Might want to listen for them. Hope this helps you. Oh mine is 2003 4.6
