@@carguysnewengland I've been thinking about doing that too. Also for the instrument cluster on my '04 Vic. I've watched a few videos on the subject, and some people report after replacing the halogen bulbs with LED ones, it causes certain warning lights to be partially illuminated. For example the low fuel light will be very dimly lit, even with a full tank. So that may be something to look out for. -Chuck

Dj Rodgers my latest headlight assemblies were custom done using replacements bought off Amazon on the cheap. You can buy pre done halo ones from oracle on CarID.com but they are expensive

Good video Jay, I was curious about the cornering lights looks like a decent improvement in light output worth doing. I just did my back up lights a month ago due to the dark tint on my rear windows the first night cruise with the tint I had to check my back up lights thought they were out LOL. The led ones put out enough light that at least I can see what I'm going to hit now. I'm not going to do the turn signals the hyper flash would be a distraction to me tho I have an older town car so I may be able to upgrade the flasher vs resistors. You have to look at it like this those resistors are going to get as hot as your old brake lights and marker lights did who wants that kind of heat near say your trunk mat like you said burn up your car no thanks.

mrelectron62 huge improvement. I ordered a few spare bulbs just in case I had any issues. I’m pretty sure there is a way to open up and modify the LCM and use different relays compatible with LEDs inside it. I’ll probably scoop one up next time I’m at a pick and pull. Thanks for watching!

Pretty much almost all replaceable bulbs on my TC have been replaced with LED. Only ones I haven't done yet are my front turns and rear tails mainly due to the hyperflash issue. But since you said that resistors get hot, I'm not going to risk the possibility of a fire. I'll just go ahead and swap the remaining bulbs out and just deal with the hyperflashing. BTW, what are those mounted on the roof above the rear window?

3yrs later and I’m wondering how many people have either flashed their brights at you or have given you the middle finger for the LEDs being too bright. I personally hate when people get aftermarket LEDs but either never adjust the headlights or simply don’t care about other drivers so they get the brightest they can find. I I want to upgrade to LEDs but also not get the asshole kind. So could you give any feedback from other drivers? I’m curious.

I have a question, whenever I put LEDs in the tail lights, if I have the lights on and put the right indicator on both sides flash, it's fine if the lights are off or when I turn on the right indicator, any ideas? Thanks.

Nope, it's usually a lower draw. Only drawback is hyperflash on some cars, and some fancier cars will report a bulb out. I'm not sure if the Town Car reports bulbs out though, it's pretty low tech.

No they work fine. You need all 4, search anti hyper flash Leds.
