Have you been thinking about doing reviews on some of the cheaper Steadicams? Like Aero 15, 30, Zephyr. These are models people starting up will actually buy. There are some reviews on KZbin but it is mostly done by people with little experience operating Steadicam. And they either show no footage or just bad footage and one never knows if it is a bad tool or bad operator. It would be really interesting to see how these more affordable Steadicams compare with M1 in hands of experienced steadicam operator.

i did attempt to do a comparison with the top 3 brands and their beginner models. i wish i got it to work but most of the companies didn't want to be involved or wanted a lot of time to get it approved (a year). it became to hard to find the rigs for as long as i would need them to make a video on them so i had to move on from it. maybe some day i can get it to work.

I'd love to know what your plan was on how to get the rig off if you went in the water. I didn't even think about that possibility until you brought it up. I'd love to hear what you thought of.

my first idea was to try to lift the gimble off the arm and swim to the top but i didn't know if that would be possible. if that failed i would try to pull the vest off like i normally do but that might also not work. then i would go for the pin that attaches the arm to the socket block. then i would unscrew the socket block screws. hopefully one of them would have worked
