For 4+ years week after week, all we heard Saleh say is we have to clean this up, and we have to clean that up, and ultimately, nothing git cleaned up. He should have been fired after last season. You can hire a defensive coach, but he has to have an offensive philosophy that will score points and not just run, run, run, punt (ala Rex).

Glenn, Flores, and Vrabel have been my top 3 for like 2 months now. It's great to hear these are the guys getting the most buzz. I really hope it's Glenn, but I'll take Flores. I think he could be much better in his second stint. I dont like Grigson though. I prefer somebody that doesn't have a track record of ignoring the oline. Vrabel is a long shot now. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel accepts the NE job today after the interview.
@kdude2515 күн бұрын
@brendyn3101 yeah. The 1st round was a treasure trove of RBs, WRs, and CBs for Grigson. Only till Andrew Luck's last full season did he draft an Olineman (Quenton Nelson). By then it was too late. Luck's body was already destroyed. Now its possible he learned from that but I'd rather not take the chance.

What offensive guy would be better coaches than those three though? Hiring a defensive coach doesn’t matter, what matters is who are they bringing in as the offensive coordinator. What’s hilarious about Todd Bowles is of course now that he’s not on the Jets he’s inherited two offensive coordinators who one is already a HC for the Panthers and one is someone who some Jets fans want to coach the Jets that being Liam Coen and probably could replace Bowles this offseason according to Bucs fans lol

Firstly, I love your content. You're the best Jets content creator on YT; you don't try to sell me anything or push subscriptions or spend time making fun of folks who call-in who literally have some intellectual issues. You are just pure Jets content. Fantastic. So I genuinely want your opinion on this... Regarding Flores, do you think someone who equates NFL owners as 'plantation owners' and has generated headlines such as "Former Miami Dolphins coach sues NFL and three teams, alleging racist hiring practices" is someone a multi-billionaire like Woody wants to deal with daily, regardless of his possible wins and losses? We are already a NFL media side-show, so do you think the (likely) eventual clashes between the Johnsons and Flores being headlines every day will truly make our team functional and better? I mean, if you owned a team and were a billionaire, would you want someone like that on your staff? I'm not sure I would. Or do you think it could still work if the new GM is tasked with being the buffer/middleman between Flores and the Johnsons? I don't know, but I'm not sure this is a chemistry experiment the Jets should try. Would love your thoughts. Cheers and keep up the great work!

My feelings on the best head coaches developed watching who I believe were the two best coaches I watched during my lifetime: Vince Lombardi & Bill Parcells. Lombardi was an offensive specialist while Parcells was a defensive specialist, but both knew exactly what they wanted from the other side of the ball: a physical unit which did not get pushed around by their opponents. Both were unquestionably leaders who commanded respect in the locker room and only kept players who bought into their vision for the team. After his first seasons with the Giants and Patriots, only once did I see a Parcells team get pushed around: the Giants by the 1985 Bears and by the 1993 Dolphins. His Jets and Cowboys were never pushed around. Out schemed sometimes but never pushed around. That is the type of person I want to see as Jets head coach: build a physically tough team and leave the scheming to the coordinators. So any of those 3 would be acceptable to me.

You need not worry about Arthur Smith and Cliff Kingsbury. Both of those guys along with several other prospects with an Offensive Background have already told the Jets they are not interested in their Head Coaching Job. In terms of resurrecting the Jets' Offense this is looking Mighty Ugly. None of these Offensive Candidates are Top Shelf and to the man none of them want anything to do with the Jets. As to the Defense their problems had nothing to do with lack of talent. Saleh had a Revolving Door of Defensive of his Best Buds running in and out of the Locker Room. The Players on Defense the Jets Released or left in Free Agency could make a Top Ranked Defense. That's why I think so little of that Turd Robert Saleh. I can't believe the Jags are even taking time to interview him.

i don’t trust the Bills defense. It allowed a 107.4 QB rating, 303.8 pass ypg and an 11-3 TD-INT line from Weeks 14-17. Buffalo also has real issues versus strong rushing attacks, demonstrated by nine opponents rushing for 120-plus yards this year with six of those teams averaging 4.8-plus yards per carry. i think the Bills defense ends Allen’s remarkable year.

Well, if these three names are heard most in conjunction with the Jets, it's a sure thing that the Jets get none of them. If I'm Glenn, I stay at Detroit and continue to build my name and rep for another year on a strong team. I'd still like to see him in the Jets organization someday because it just seems right. Flores probably doesn't want to come into a situation with an incompetent owner. He dealt with that in Miami (sigh) and shouldn't be in a hurry to do it again. Vrabel? I dunno. But Vrabel's got a good enough rep to want to avoid Woody too. Whoever becomes the HC, they will need a top flight coordinator to handle the other side of the ball. They'll probably want to come in with a solid basic core package on both sides of the ball, but with a lot of ideas for building further on that basic structure. No one wants to have these overly complex schemes that fall flat because it's too much at once. The question is how Woody torpedoes it. Unfortunately, that's all I can expect.

The more i hear about Flores tho, the more I do not like him. The latest from ex Jet & Ex Dolphin Ryan Fitzpatrick trashed Flores. Supposedly Miami Dolphin players HATED Flores. I understand Jet fans want someone who's tough. But if players hate you, thats as bad as being too soft. Both extremes are bad for morale & culture. That's why i don't understand all the Rex Ryan hate. He's someone who is Both tough yet players respect. That is what we need. Also, some people act as if Rex is bad because he got fired. But they fail to mention that ALL the other coaches being interviewed like Flores GOT FIRED from teams. At least Rex brought the Jets to TWO AFC Championships in a row! Plus he wants this job more than anyone! Vrabel just used the Jets interview as leverage to get a job with the Pats. The more i think about it, the more I want Rex. Get a good GM and OC and the Jets will be a team that's feared again. I strongly believe Rex is the right guy at the right time. He wants the Jets to be the most physical team out there.
