I love my TNT is a monster of a bowling ball and love the pin action I get

The TNT has become my main ball during league and is one of the most predictable balls in my arsenal. As a two hander, I put a ton of revs into most of my equipment with a ball speed in the low to mid 13's in 15lbs. Most early hooking balls like a gem or supernova are too much for me on a league pattern. The numbers suggested the TNT would work similarly to those early hooking balls. Resetting the surface to 1,000 and then sanding to 2,000 gave me a mind-blowing result that I continue to love. 🧨🧨🧨

Yeeeep, this ball really likes the slow hook, so that's why I keep saying it's a goat 2 hander ball.

We're missing the most important aspect of the review: that James' reaction got a lot better after he got a haircut

Both is acceptable too if they’re way apart for the left side.

Luke is absolutely spot on with this ball, I took mine to 2000 and shined it. On medium house or cliffed / dry back ends this thing is a monster. I keep my angles closed and slowly open up games three and four in league. Love this ball. I think this core and cover is not going to come back anytime soon, so I will buy another. Thanks for your honest opinions !!!

I tried this ball at a demo day and loved it, but wonder how it would be long term. I’m lower rev, moderate speed lefty.

It's really refreshing to see some more lane level shots thrown in. I've been missing those this past year or so. I really learned to train my eye for ball reaction with the older comparison videos like the Phaze III comparisons. The lane level views slowed down a tad really show off the nuances of the reaction. I'm hoping some more of those shots will make it in more videos

I'll try to remember to get more in, but I only have one camera so we have to film twice to get them essentially and when we're already filming for 2 or 3 balls apiece in a session, it can really drag it out.

I currently throw a 14# Super Son!q. Loving it. I’m not throwing a ton of revs and my speed is around 17mph, so I can play pretty much down and in. Would a TNT be an option as a “ball down” in my bag?
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl Жыл бұрын
Nah, it still feels too close to it, despite the Super being a step up on paper. The Hustle USA acts exactly like the Super and is stronger than it's supposed to be too, so it'd be a really nice step down.

@luke do you think with a resurfacing and throwing polish on it it will allow a higher rev slower speed player to get more up land on the outside?
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl Жыл бұрын
This one still rolls pretty heavy, and it depends on the pattern you're on. A shiny ball being thrown outside on a house shot will actually get more responsive due to all the friction out there.

"High rev" "high speed"... is that a subjective assessment? My natural release speed is 17.2mph off my hand, but I can get down to 14.6 or up to 18.5 depending on which zone I am throwing from. Rev rate ranges 350-375. Would that be considered average?
@rb8999
@rb8999 Жыл бұрын
Your rev rate would be high side of medium. Natural speed is pretty medium too
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl Жыл бұрын
Not really, there are somewhat specific zones that puts one into particular categories. Most people stick within their speed and rev zones, and even people that CAN go one way or the other typically trend towards one specific place. Like James can drop speed and revs, but he's more comfortably high with both. Anything above 18mph is high speed, anything above 400 revs is high rev, 16-18 mph is medium, under 16 is slower, 300-400 revs is medium, anything under 300 is lower, etc.

My "A" game is in the middle as far as shaping the ball into the pocket. I can slow it down to 14.6mph if I need to move further right to hook the lane, but my revs tend to drop a bit. It is the MOST fun to just launch it down first arrow with urethane at 18mph/+350 revs and see the pins fly when it crushes the pocket, but i think there is less talent in doing that, so I use it as a lot resort when nothing else is working.

I'm actually ready for the new TNT, I'm a fan of shinny hybrids, and the TNT needed to go longer and be cleaner. I don't know if I'm willing to buy one new since I'm getting a Journey

Just got the TNT last week, tried sanding it down to 1000 then 2000 but it wasnt really working for, kinda burning up or hooking too much. I then tried sanding it down to 1000 and use storm step two polish and it is now my favourite ball

I definitely liked it the best with shine on it, and yeah I've mentioned several times that it should almost be a cheater ball for two handers. Glad you got it figured out!

Looking forward to this report card and the duo report card. Your review on the duo v fate made me get the duo (because of the price). As a lefty the duo has been the best ball for me in a long time. Drinking all the kool aid on the duo.

@LukeRosdahl

Yeah . . so YT really likes the videos to be over 8 minutes long, so that's why the report cards have jumped up into that range. If I make a video that's shorter than that, it's not really worth doing. Lol YT period isn't really worth doing in the first place, but it really hurts a lot more if the videos are shorter than that.
