I don’t see why it was hard to build a line especially after three years. Pay some vets that aren’t sitting on some bench somewhere and looking to get paid. They were getting signed all offseason. Pay some left tackle worthy of good money, resign Tevin, draft a center and/or right guard.

I actually think Joe Brady might be a better offensive mind, what he is doing with a bunch of no name or past their prime players besides Josh Allen is VERY impressive while Ben Johnson's offense has gotten better every year Detroit invested more assets into that side of the ball. My opinion of Joe Brady is that he probably can use another year of seasoning as offensive coordinator in the league and to prepare some more for being the head coach. Timing is everything though and this offseason, I think Ben Johnson is probably better prepared and a better candidate to be a head coach.

I don't think a team has to wait to interview a coaching candidate until a coach's team is eliminated from the playoffs. I think the Bears will be allowed to interview Ben Johnson after the regular season is over but he cannot accept and start a new job until his team has been eliminated. A few years ago the 49ers had to wait till after the Super Bowl to hire Kyle Shananon

Vrabel, seems like it would just be a repeat of the John Fox era, sure might correct bad culture left by Flus/Poles, but probably forever be 6-11 to 9-8, with no chance of ever winning the division or getting out of the wild card round, if your lucky enough to get into the playoffs (strength of schedule, injuries, overachieving). Look at the 3 other HC in the division, swing for the fences and open that piggy bank. Hoping Lions get a 1st round bye, that allows at least a video interview, I think.
