The Carolina trade was more Carolina than Poles, Poles gets way too much credit for the trade except for getting DJ which even looks questionable now

Managing salary cap grade: A+ Talent acquisition: B Coaching hire: D Grades are based on what the state of the franchise was before he got here vs now. But to be fair, what elite coach was he able to get other than Eberflus when our franchise was such a mess?

I believe he should get one more shot at hiring another coach considering we're much better than where we used to be. Should be easier to get an elite coach now

I still have a sour taste in my mouth from the Bears having someone from Indianapolis helping change the last coaching change. We ended up having Eberflose, in my opinion, before we even had Poles. Ownership of this organization is ruining the team!

I honestly like what Poles have done far as shedding contracts, building draft capital and creating cap space. He hit on some picks and he definitely missed on some it is what it is. He screwed up when he kept Eberflus and didn't address the oline. Now if he finally gets this coaching staff and oline together and we start winning then everyone will be saying he's a mastermind. Far as Kevin I don't care what say he needs to focus on being more of a VP than an insurance salesman. George has the last say if he wants Poles gone then he's gone if wants him here he stays. Poles knows what's at stake I believe he will get this franchise moving in the right direction FINALLY. I'm not ready to give up on Poles just yet but if he doesn't do what's is needed then he can exit stage left.

I'm with you, keep Poles. Poles did bring in a lot of Oline players, but some were rookies and some like Davis was a basket case and Bates was always injured. I'm sure he will address that, but the other thing here is. To get B Johnson in here, we will need a stable GM. No HC is going anywhere if the GM position is not solid. I give the Bears a 40% to 60% chance of winning tomorrow.

You give the coaching candidates to much leverage anyone of them would gladly take the head coaching job regardless of circumstances head coach openings don’t grow on trees

Faiz, in your scenario, how the hell are they going to interview coach candidates with poles as the GM and then let the candidates have influence on whether to fire the GM or not? So they’re gonna let the GM be in on the interview process and then fire him? that sounds ridiculous, but if they do do it because they’re the bears, if you’re the coaching candidate, would you want to come to a team that operates in that manner? I’ve been a subscriber for years, you know all my predictions are right. Poles isis gone. you talk about the scenario of firing a coach a year after a new quarterback comes in, well the same could be applied for Kevin Warren. Poles is not his guy, Pokes résumé is terrible, why would Warren keep him to hire a new coach? Makes no sense at all

The only way I see it to be reasonable to get rid of poles is if you know there is someone better out there and I don't know who could come in and do better than ryan poles. I think ryan poles has done a great job with what he was given in 2022, this roster isn't failing due to lack of talent.
