Not debatable at all. The only skill that matters is availability. And he isn't available.

Now that Kyrie is out of team Nike I can guarantee Nike wants KD to step away from being glued to Kyrie. BTW Broussard has a great family, has issues like any person and is committed and works countless shows. It's because he is reliable and one of the best at it.

@denomac17402 жыл бұрын
once the media doesn't like an athlete they will go hard towards that player. kyrie had nothing to do with covid. he followed the law and abided by the rules set in place by the nba... but everybody making it seem like he don't want to play basketball or is unreliable because he took some personal time off for social justice causes. kyrie has balled all his life. the nets would be foolish not to keep him. he has 3 or 4 more years in him.
@samkellogg28052 жыл бұрын
But he’s injured quite a bit, and if there is another tragedy is he going to take time off from work is the question.
@Dami-dm5sj2 жыл бұрын
Maybe I'll take a couple of months off from work citing social justice issues while expecting to still be fully paid and then return whenever I like and expect my employer to reward me with a big fat multiple year contract extension. The best ability is availability...no one's questioning his basketball ability, they're questioning his dedication....he's pulled stunts like this @ Cleveland and now with the Nets. He isn't a first time offender, stop making excuses for him.
@chrisjacobs91012 жыл бұрын
He took time off when Covid wasn’t an issue saying that all the stuff going on in America just didn’t get him in the mental frame to play basketball flash forward he’s seen 2 weeks at a birthday party living it up having fun and smiling all while getting paid that’s ridiculous and kyrie wants to be a man amongst the people so bad so he shouldn’t be mad that he’s not paid when he doesn’t show up for work

1 positive is Kyrie does reflect. He has shown he is able to admit mistakes like when he recently admitted he should have not forced his way out of the LeBron Cavs. He still can turn this around but he cannot expect a max deal this year or even next. Best ability is availability. Prove you can be that and keep the rest of the outside stuff away during the season
@jaydot49562 жыл бұрын
@Jordan Carter that’s not the only thing people have a problem with kyrie. Kyrie has a reputation of being an eccentric unreliable player. Ever since he left Cleveland he became a different person.
@slr81702 жыл бұрын
You can’t reward Kyrie for potential because his history says otherwise smh if Kyrie plans to be available then what’s the problem? If he plans to play then he should take 1 year deals until he proves himself to the team because he hasn’t.
@jusdesireable32242 жыл бұрын
KD treats Kyrie more like a protecting a child than an adult, thats the problem.. He needs to cut those ties in that regard and be man to man real to him bout the whole situation.

It wouldn't hurt to have a set of awards that the active players DO vote on 'Player's Choice' or whatever you wanna call em. It is not right to just categorically say active players shouldn't vote. Maybe active players shouldn't vote for specific awards or all the awards but they definitely have a valuable and valid perspective on who is playing the best.

this is why low key the warriors have the best stars in the NBA with Steph, Klay and Draymond and to a certain extent Andre not to mention having a great coach in Steve (and these guys are mentoring the likes of JP, JK, Moody and Wiseman), they are all about one thing, winning championships, none of this drama with Kyrie, KD, Harden and Simmons, to them winning the chip trumps everything, individual accolades that come with it is just the cherry on top.
@philmoe2 жыл бұрын
Its a difficult decision but they need Kyrie to play this whole season. They were an ankle injury away from dominating the Bucks last year, which would almost guarantee a championship and a definite change in the basketball landscape for KD, Ky and Harden.
