would absolutely luv to see a vid regarding the pruning/rooting process, and perhaps a much more indepth care guide for prayers. (I have a smaller round leaf, and he is a little more than simply "dramatic" )

The close at night? Does it mean it’s dehydrated like she said or is that natural to the plant?

In dryer climates(like where I live,Colorado)they are very difficult to keep happy...they like high humidity. They are also finicky about water, I've learned I have to use distilled water.

i was rewatching some of the old repottings on your channel and I was so amazed to see how far your growroom has come. I thought it was beautiful back then with the PVC cattlleya stand and shear curtains and I think its beautiful today aswsell with all that you have added. All the changes happed so gradually I both felt like I was along for the ride and hardly noticed them. I get so hap[y seeing someone enjoy plants the same way as I do. Keep up the good work and like your plants stay growing!

Hi Danny, thank you so much for sharing and your Maranta are GORGEOUS!! I have to repot my Red Maranta because it's having an issue with spider mites for a few weeks even though, I have it in a covered greenhouse with plenty of humidity!! I made cuttings and I've been using insecticidal soap so hoping that and the new soil helps!! And mine has flowered and to me, the flowers look like very tiny Orchids!!💕🥰🙏🏼

I had the purple veined maranta once... She constantly had dry tips, and then killed all of her leaves and stems due to a mild mealybug treatment. Cool thing about them is that they have some kind of bulbs inbetween the roots and they can completely regrow from them. So she regrew, but in the end I exchanged her for something less dramatic.

Hey Danny! I'm curious as to what you use to fertilize your house plants and if there is ever any crossover with orchid fertilizer? Possible video idea? Thanks for always sharing your wealth of knowledge!!

Hi, I just use a commercial fertilizer for foliage plants, the most complete I could find on the market in conjuction with slow release fertilizer (Osmocote pro high k) ☺️

When you keep the plant on a higher shelf in your room that means warmer temperature - warm air travels up. Maybe that adds to your problems with water retention? :)

Hello I enjoyed watching your prayer plant repotting, I bought the lemon lime today and have placed it in my bathroom but with no windows although it does get some low light from my window in my room so hopefully it will thrive, I have read that it does like humidity so crossing my fingers it does ok in my bathroom… btw where did you get your repotting clear tray that you used on this video
@XoroksComment3 жыл бұрын
On an unrelated note, you mentioned that the roses you have tried so far outside haven't been able to endure the hot summers in your climate. I have read that of the 200 or so rose (Rosa) species, Rosa persica is the most heat resistant. There are a few nice looking Rosa persica hybrids with different colors. Maybe you should seek out one of those for your balcony, they would probably do better than regular English roses from cooler climates :)

I have a a trio. I think prayer plant, little palm and I forgot the other name but it’s in a pretty pot. Small but pretty. Do I replant it? What is the reason for replanting? I lost my husband and this plant was given about 6 weeks ago and it’s still alive and pretty. I’m just wondering how long it will last or if I need to replant it.

Hi Danny ! I have a question for u. I saw 2 flower spikes on my phalaenopsis , than they both stoped growing for about 2 weeks the plant grew new roots . And now I saw another flower spike growing. U think 2 flower spikes that stoped growing will continue growing ?
@Suzyq61313 жыл бұрын
I live in South Florida. I have three phalaenopsis orchids outside underneath a awning facing south. I moved them the other day when it was raining to a west facing location. It’s shady in the morning, but then the sun hits it mid day and it burned the leaves I guess. It turned a silvery color, so I moved it back. I saw a Instagram video of somebody putting orchid roots in a jar of water and it just stays like that. Can they live like that?

For me it was because they were in direct sunlight or under a plant light when I brought them home. Once I removed them and put them in less light they recovered. They like a lot of light but it shouldn't be direct.
