This supreme (extreme is a better word) court certainly has unleashed a hellscape in women's health care! 😢 (Edit) I just finished watching the interview, and it was very well done, both of you! I am very pro choice, but like Stacy, I grew up in a catholic family. My late mother was not nearly as enlightened as Stacy's grandmother; she was very anti choice and anti IVF. I wish more catholics could be like Stacy's grandma. By calling themselves "pro life", they're insinuating that we're "anti life". In reality, as this interview shows, we are the ones who are truly pro life, because the anti choice approach causes deaths. The only way they can make their pro life label make any sense is by redefining life to include embyos and fetuses.

If there is an explicit allowance in Texas law for treating ectopic pregnancy, why are providers refusing the service there?

This was explained in the conversation. You can have these exceptions written in, but they’re really hard to actually put into practice because doctors become hesitant to treat someone when they know that if they get it wrong they could be charged for murder, and likewise patients become hesitant to seek treatment for the same reason.
