+Linda Maria You know, there are these things called "books", that people have used in former times to beg for wisdom by the gods, it's not that long ago that this was done, so some people knowing of this ritual technique may still be alive .. you could also have used this method
@kimberlyforti75969 жыл бұрын
The phrase seems pretty bad, you should get it checked out
@kir-is-here9 жыл бұрын
+Frank Schneider you make a valid point, but when you're a twelve y/o girl your mom already makes awkward conversations about puberty. Could you imagine asking her to buy you books on it? Or go to the library? Most of the books aimed at teens for pms are titled things like "EXPLORING YOUR CHANGING BODY," which is mortifying to read.
@frankschneider61569 жыл бұрын
Kirsten Joy You can get pretty much all of the basics from every introductory textbook on physiology. I mean I get your point, but if someone wants to know about a topic and doesn't look it up, that's highly irrational. Staying unknowledgeable just because of fuzzy emotions is imho a behavior that can not and should not be justified.
@diamcole9 жыл бұрын
+Frank Schneider Chances are she attempted to do her own research on the matter and then turned to doctors for more in depth answers because she didn't fully understand. Nothing about that seems irrational when you consider that while yes, books are there for our own personal development, there are people who are deemed professionals and experts in their respective fields and it would be illogical to not seek them out because you've found a couple of books related to the topic in your local library and think that means you've now got all you need to solve the problem.

@adamborison30549 жыл бұрын
I would also add that if it were biologically possible, evolution would just make you one big reproductive system. But it needs to get nutrients, and so it needs another system, and then both of those need oxygen, so you need one for that, but at this point it's too big so you need a circulatory system, and them all of this is too stupid to survive, so it needs to react with it's environment, and we get killed by viruses and bacteria, and it needs to move and have structure, and it needs a protective layer... Point is your body is there to provide for your reproduction. It is what drove evolution, and all of this amazing stuff we call life was produced in the process of becoming efficient at it.

@baltoen_9 жыл бұрын
But.. Why does it hurt? Is the pain really necessary?
@mathew_monkbot10189 жыл бұрын
I'm no surgeon, but from what I've heard it hurts because the unfertilized egg is pushing up against the uterine wall. That's what causes both the bleeding and the pain, but about the other pms stuff I couldn't say. FYI I'm a guy.
@TheFindingLight9 жыл бұрын
+Baltoen Your uterus is contracting to help with the process of removing the functional layer of endometrium. Think of it as extremely low-key birth - instead of pushing out an entire human you're just pushing out some mushy tissue and blood. This is also why you might notice more frequent or less solid bowel movements at this time as your colon is pretty close behind where the uterus sits, and those contractions can get things moving a little more. So yes, unfortunately the pain is necessary.
@mathew_monkbot10189 жыл бұрын
Also thanks for adding a genuine question and not some foolish joke to the comments👍🏻😄 there are no bad ideas!
@TheFindingLight9 жыл бұрын
Mathew Mendel Refer to the answer I provided :) Tell whoever told you that story about what I said :P Spread the education, friend! Edit: okay so ovulation pain is a real thing as I have just learned. However menstrual bleeding isn't caused by the egg pushing up against the uterine wall per se. The egg gets embedded in the endometrium, and then the uterus contracting is what causes blood (endometrium) to come out.
