Protest is a constitutionally guaranteed right of citizens as long as it's peaceful. The main reason why Nigerians think of the federal government when it comes to protest is because we are not practicing true Federalism. The only way to end all these troubles is to return to regional system of government.

I wish this man would see this message. Oga light skin from Kano, we call the president because the government is the custodian of the state. We want the system to change, that's why we are going to protest. That system that has been eating NIgeria to the bone since 1960 must change now. We want our laws strengthened, such that a criminal governor will be caught and jailed, a criminal public office holder too, as much as a common man who stole one person's thing is jailed. You are speaking grammar. If the govt was doing its job, would they sell 1 sachet of water 700 naira? Are you not sensible enough to connect the dot? The govt is the custodian of the state, if you can't run the state well, just resign and leave. Anyone who decides he will play that role must play it well henceforth. It's no longer days of go and share money and get away with it.

There is nothing the president can do to the govs, he cannot question them or sanction them. They have immunity till they leave the office. What the president can only do is to appeal to them to do the needful by doing what is right in their respective states. Let the people protest in their respective states except if the protest does not have political undertones.

So what has Tinubu done to the past thieves who no longer have immunity? He has elevated them as ministers, and even employed more criminals to serve our most important offices. Betta Edu, Yahaya Bello, Ikpeazu, the list is endless. Now they are even thanking Tinubu for Supreme Court victories on national TV. Tinubu’s EFCC cannot arrest past criminals and recover their loot. Tinubu is the prime chief directly responsible for everything. If Tinubu was not corrupt, we wouldn’t be here.

Mr guest, for your information, all the policies that are currently holding Nigeria down are formulated and implemented by the federal government, not by the states. The relief or reprieve that the citizens need can only come from the federal government. 1. Petrol pump prices 2. Naira/Dollar exchange rates 3. Prices of commodities particularly foods No state government has the power to decide any of the above.
