This is my number one FPV plane. Stable and reliable. Glad this plane is not dead.

room for FC is in the tail section together with analog vtx, all front is the space for battery EASLY 4S 3P 21700 15,000mAh, flight time can be way over one hour with distance covered around 100km or more

I would of got the kit version and then fitted MG servo`s all round, having to add a little glue to a few joints is not a big deal, but on the flip side i really think you will love this Dragon

Absolutely great model, 5000 4S and a GoPro in the nose and it still flies light and floaty. Setup flaperons for landing too.

Looks good. I’ve been following your auto landing videos and have been setting it up my dragon II. Btw the throws are on page 7 of the manual.

yepp great wing, I am using ArduPilot for that. with a Li-ion 21700 4s2p battery. It flies well and is a pleasant cruiser.

Thanks for the comment. I don't think that 18650s will handle the higher currents well on this... Happy flying!

@@Painless360 Today's my maiden with this exact model using 4s2p 10000mAh, a Caddx vista and a GoPro Hero 7 in the front. CG is on the mark. I was actually not disppointed with the built quality, other than the servos included in the PNP version. But what do you expect for €130 (which I bought it for). I also prefer the tightness of the hatch so I don't have to add extra magnets or tape to prevent it from flying off. Looking forward to your maiden!

You should be able to get over an hour of flight easily with that setup! Best of luck!

@@Painless360the maiden was a success! It flew really well. Cruising at around 5.5 amps with the stock FC current scale. I'm also using a SpeedyBee F405. I think this is my new favorite allround cruiser. I mounted my VTX vertically against one of the two front air intakes on the side and added a tiny air scoop on the outside, otherwise it didn't get enough cooling.

Nice video. I built mine a year or so ago and agree that the instructions are lacking. The main thing is they omit throw surface volumes. I'd be very curious what values you're using. Another thing I hope you focus on in great detail in the next video is the correct INAV trimming/training procedure. A word of caution, the fuse halves are bolted together using 4 screws into ply that is glued onto the foam parts. The ply will pop off really easily because they use very little glue. Maybe that's a design feature to prevent greater damage, IDK. Regardless, a ruff landing will weaken it or, as in my case, pop it apart. Just a FYI.

@@Painless360 What I'm confused about and most interested in is the 1st couple flights. E.G. the way to set auto trim, rates, save settings upon landing, and correctly configure manual mode.

@@Painless360 I only flew mine once and got into trouble when I decided to manual LOS land (been flying LOS planes for many years but new to FPV planes - I have lots of FPV quad experience) but it didn't have enough control authority. I stalled into a downwind belly flop landing about 2' above the ground to avoid hitting bushes. It was a soft landing but the tail popped off. Easy fix but I've been flying other stuff since. I'm itching to pull it back out for a 2nd maiden. BTW, first flight was great - no issues.

New to FCs and Inav I am flying all kinds of Missions, Auto takeoff, Soaring, etc. with my 2.4m Phoenix after just a week, thanks to your detailed and easy to follow tutorials. Is it possible to fly with Inav an autónomos mission including takeoff and landing without operator input? Like, for example, with a DJI quad and Litchi. Thanks again!

Ive only used flying, and landing as automatic flight function's. Take-off can be too. Best place for up to date detail is the Ardupilot docs - ardupilot.org/plane/docs/automatic-takeoff.html
