Andrew, what control surface throws are you using? As you know, the instructions don't provide any recommendations.

I like the threaded wing spars, very neat mechanical holding solution....It's well thought out and designed IMO....The Pirate has tested his....Watch out for resonance / imbalance from those 3 blade props, he ended up with 2 blade props...I wish they had included an optional (2 wheel) undercarriage mount in the Fuz for those wanting it...🤔😳😀🇬🇧

Hi Andrew. Thanks for this video. I finaly ordered pnp from BG. The only thing that concerns me are cheap plastic servos in the kit. Do you think Emax ES08MAII 12g would fit ? And do you have any info about included PDB 5v output Amps ?

Easy to trim a bit of foam to make the servos fit if required. Dont recall the Amp rating sorry

Hi Andrew. When i screw the wing to the "shoulder" all the way down - there is still a "microwobble" on the wing when i move it up and down. Maybe 2-3mm at the edge of the wing. I was wondering if it's normal. Does yours have it too ? Don't know if i shoul leave it as is or try to do something with it.
@AndrewNewton2 жыл бұрын
Yes normal, won't hurt performance. But if you can find the reason and fix it you will feel better

Hi Andrew, I have been setting up this model and have a query about the ESC calibration. I have done the standard calibration steps both in iNav using the outputs tab and directly using the radio via the PDB instead of the FC and in all instances it seems the motors don't kick in until 10% throttle. Is this normal for these Flycolor ESCs? Thanks.
@AndrewNewton2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like the calibration hasn't worked. I dont recall any similar problems
@fubarphill2 жыл бұрын
@@AndrewNewton Thanks for the reply. That was my thought but after doing it several times using both iNav and radio and ending up with the same result, I figured this was normal for these ESCs. I've even done it an ESC at a time.

Andrew, the best I could work out, those trapped nuts on the wing could be for mounting a camera. The spacing looks similar to the board mounting point on the hatch. But there are 4 mounting nuts on the hatch, only 2 on each wing. Also, the motors are made by SunnySky for JJ77 (I think it was JJ77, whatever it says on the motor 😄).

Thanks Darren. Have you flown yet?

Hypothetical question... What sort of flight controller/software could be used with a plank wing plane like this to render its control more docile, more like a simple RET trainer? Of course it will take a certain minimum speed to fly this - no controller is going to magically change that. ;)
