@@fleur3674 ... Well, Greece is younger than the USA, closing in on 200 years old now. Macedon in classical antiquity or the Byzantine empire really weren't 'Greece' the country. China is arguably around 350 years old with the Qing imperial era after the conquest of the Ming, Mongolia, Xinjiang and Tibet. It was many different kingdoms and territory occupied by foreign powers on more than one occasion prior to that. Japan just over 400 starting with the Tokugawa shogunate, many daimyos and independent territories before the Sengoku Jidai.... So if you're looking for really old countries you'd do better with Ethiopia, Portugal or San Marino for instance. Closer or even over 1000 years old now. Unless you're just listing places where people have lived for a long time and in that case the winner would be Tanzania, home of the first hominids.

*regardless of which political party you affiliate with: If you're open enough to see both sides of an argument, then this is quite possibly the most brilliantly clever Studio C sketch ever made. I have absolutely NO idea why this isn't more popular. My only guess is that the audience is predominately uncultured and sadly, unconcerned, college folk. If this hit the right market, it would explode.

The real problem is that in United States, EVERYTHING revolves around what people thought was obedience, which is to blindly do as you're told all the time and to do everything precisely at scheduled times, in other words, behave like a robot, at work, at home, and when you take your medication every morning. It's a business-oriented society where blind faith is to be expected at every angle. Satan twisted that vocabulary in the Dark Ages and the Europeans are still in the plague. The real definition of obedience according to how I interpret the scriptures is to agree with God, and that means to see things the way he sees things, and to respect everything he created the way he created them in the first place.
@Paladin58510 жыл бұрын
MonguinAssassin All well and good to claim, but without backing examples or evidence, it could easily be just a strawman argument from your own understanding of the issue Don't get me wrong, I'm a Christian myself, but there are a million and one people out there claiming to know what's what, and they can't all be right.

@@revan552 The concept of evolution is equally as difficult to believe as any other religion. It shouldn't come as a surprise that people don't believe that everything works so harmoniously, and came from a random singularity of energy. 🤔
@godlikeselephants3 жыл бұрын
@@revan552 First of all, science and religion are not exclusive. Secondly, when discussing the origins of man from a secular perspective, the lines of cosmology and biology are often blurred. Also biology isn't grounded on the concept of evolution. Evolution is just the hypothetical thoughts of Charles Darwin. So many people treat it like it's a truth. It's a concept. It's not "confirmed by science." Otherwise religion wouldn't be a thing anymore. It is, however popularized because during conception, it was made with a scientific mindset. People could, and have backed up religion with scientific evidence. It's just as legitimate in that aspect as evolution. No one can answer definitively "why" or "how." Reality doesn't make sense. Living here doesn't make sense. If it did, I wouldn't be here having this discussion with you. Your guess is as good as mine. Evolution is as real as you make it. But really, it's just like any other faith. I appreciate your thoughts on the matter nonetheless.
