When I listen to Pastor Doug instruct, I often feel as though a veil were being lifted from my eyes, as was so in this exposition. There is just so much really bad teaching that fills the mind of the average Cristian let alone the average American. Why on earth did a single parent in history ever tolerate public schools or anything "public" for that matter. We were a nation supposedly based on Christians ideals. But, almost immediately we, as a nation, began to abdicate responsibility, with unscrupulous people desirous of ruling over others quickly "volunteering" to take on that responsibility for us, with each act of abdication being just another rivet in the fetters with which we willingly allowed ourselves to be fitted. Emancipation is integral to clearly understanding God's true truth and inculcating ourselves with this true truth to the point that our minds and God's Word form an immutable emulsion. Maranatha!

"There were women in pulpits long before they were in F-16 cockpits." Sad, but true.

To be fair to the Baptist brethren, the congregational form of church government is well-suited to the saints. It doesn't, however, work for those who baptize unregenerate folks into their membership.

Who you know and && are often more important to many Bldg Managers then characture and integrity thus why Gods Church is slowly shrinking.

Fantastic talk. However, the ads were too frequent. At one point they were coming one every couple minutes.

I don’t get it, but Doug has a way of changing my mind on a lot of topics that once caused me to raise an eyebrow, so maybe it’s a matter of time.

A wonderful, logical lecture grounded in scripture. It’s still not clear to me how rule of law would agreed upon and implemented in a theocracy. Which clergy will decide upon the law? Even with the bible as a guide, would there be a consensus? A ruling body would still required to implement the law and organize public works such as sewage disposal. Wouldn’t this ruling body still be prone to corruption?

At least in my Baptist church, only elders can remove pastors. We limit the democracy.
