I love how Laura’s mom still mothers Laura, but in a very respectful way, mentioning that she has to be patient after Laura was looking at the stain she applied, and asked her was she really controlling herself with buying more succulents . 🥰🌸🇨🇦 Samantha and Benjamin are so fortunate to have a loving family!

It "lightened up" because you brushed on the solvent and not the stain. If you don't STIR the stain thoroughly before use, the pigment solids have settled to the bottom and all you are doing is dipping your brush into the solvent that has separated and floating on top- which barely has any color. If you paint only the solvent on your piece, the solvent evaporates and there is no color left behind!! If you want less pigment you have to still stir the bottom of the can to mix up all of the colorant and then add paint thinner to dilute the amount of pigment.

Hi Laura! If you found these holes to take longer to cut than usual: At 3:25 and 4:35 I noticed that the 2 concrete cores from previous drips were still stuck in the middle of the Diamond bit. The open “window” on the side of the bit can help you stick a screwdriver in there and pop those out. Makes the next drill hole go faster. Essentially you were disc sanding each hole today rather than cutting a ring.

What a fun time ‼️💕💥🤗‼️ Samantha looked like a pro !!! (She is 😊) and the succulents are GORGEOUS (my favorite is the colorful aloe 😍). It looks so elegant in the Hartley, perfect ‼️💕‼️ Suggestion -- I would probably get a few HIGH Bistro tables and maybe one one one side and one close to it so as to be able to talk and visit but also by being up high you would be able to see so much of the gardens and statues etc around the Hartley. I LOVE that building ... would be out there a lot if I lived there😍😍😍. Anyway you'll find the perfect fit, you are SO TALENTED GIRL ‼️‼️‼️ My favorite videos are when you and your family are enjoying time together ..... ABSOLUTE HEAVEN.✨☁️✨

Love the repurposed birdbath with planted succulents. I had one , well a repurposed fountain in my garden in California with a large central fountain area and the surrounding tiers filled with succulents and bromeliads. It always made my heart sing to watch how well the plants did. They got really big and had some wonderful diverse blooms. Glad you left the birdbath the original color. It looks way more classic!❤

I agree with you Laura, having to fill up my bird bath every day was not ideal. I'm also in a hot location so the water evaporates quickly! I pulled a Laura and drilled a hole through the bottom center of my bird bath, then I put a small drip hose up through the bottom, attached an emitter, and caulked it on the top with clear caulk. Now, every time my garden is watered, my bird bath is automatically filled up. I love watching the birds take their baths as well as just stop by for a drink of water. Thank you for this video, I loved when you walked into the Hartley from the front, that beautiful 3 generation arrangement is stunning where you placed it!

So nice to have 3 generations get to do something together like this and catch it on video! And what a beautiful bird bath! It is a great planter and it came out just gorgeous! And you get to watch how all 3 of your sections will grow! I think that will be so fun. We adore our grand children and luckily see them quite often as the 3 youngest are just 15 minutes away. They love coming to our place out in the country to see the sheep, horses and chickens. With 3 5 year and under kids we are in heaven! Time is precious. Our son wants them to have a childhood like he had. So we are looking for a place in the country with two plots together so we can be closer to them. We have an older grand daughter who has graduated from high school as our 2 kids are 8 years apart. She is quite busy working but we didn’t get to see her as much as we wanted to when she was growing up. Wish we could have. Luckily she is still not far from us. Was such a wonderful video to watch for me! The 5 year old has his first day of school today and we will get to see him tonite boy they grow up sooo fast.
