This is way better for me bc I just use tips and base coat polish topcoat. I used to do acrylic but I don’t know what it is but I get new growth in like days. I’ll need a refill if done at a salon in a week and I can’t be bothered with trips to the salon and spending hours putting acrylic on my nails so I decided to go back to tips and decided to perfect the blending. I don’t have to worry about refilling just shape and paint even if it grows. My nails need to recover anyway cause my nail bed looks gross. I have to say u are by far one of the more talented and informative nail techs I’ve seen on KZbin. Good stuff!

Bless your heart for doing this tutorial! So many other KZbinrs' used the fake nail which didn't help me because I had the nail tip like the exact one you had on in this video. This was helpful. Just a quick question, after filing the nail tip and natural nail bed gently, what do we use to apply on the natural nail to connect with the nail tip to continue to design the entire nail? Is there a specific product to use?

THOSE ARE BEAUTIFUL!! THANKS FOR SOMETHING THAT LOOK SO NATURAL. i do have a question from the last stage of blending ( using the file, I have always had a bad experience with the drill.) can you just do a top coat and leave it looking natural. Or what would you suggest for keeping the natural nail look? Thanks My Fellow Queen!
@msdeety8 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks! You need to overlay these with acrylic, gel, or a dip system. You can't apply top coat because they will be weak due to no strength at the stress area (nail bed). You'd wash the dishes or grab a bag they'd crack and break off.
@1blackwidow098 жыл бұрын
so is there a such thing as a natural or clear gel (Polish...i assume)?
@msdeety8 жыл бұрын
Of course, but what I'm saying is that polish is not enough of a coating to keep this on your nail. Imagine gluing a potato chip on half of your nail and then putting polish over it. It will break because polish is not strong enough. This is a tip extension for an acrylic or gel overlay (the thick stuff).
@1blackwidow098 жыл бұрын

I was always taught to blend, so I've never NOT blended. Especially if you are using clear, or transparent acrylic or gel because everything shows thru. Blending just gives the nail a smooth, flawless base.

Hi, what can I do to keep the sides of the nail tip from lifting after I have applied the gel and cured it? Pinch with tweezer or add more nail glue? What's the best glue to use? Thank you! 💅
@msdeety8 жыл бұрын
+Lucky Lucy Ricardo Make sure you prepped the nail properly before you applied anything. Remove the shine with a 180 or 240 buffer, dehydrate, and then glue the tips. 5-Second Nail glue is great and fast.

did you add any acrylic or did you just blend and Polish??

You have to apply acrylic, gel, or dip powder. These will break otherwise. Polish is not strong enough to hold it together.
