If this were a whole production team, it might be worth a bit of critique; but it was one guy doing all of this audio and video at the same time...and he wasn't even asked to do video until the day of the concert. So don't be too hard on him. I'm really grateful to have this video!

That is truly amazing. What a heart-affecting composition you have poured out for us. As glorious as this is, I keep thinking that my dad in heaven is hearing/singing music even moreso. SIMPLY STUNNING!!! After 25 years singing in our choir in Edmonton Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 this is the most beautiful, emotional, inspiring piece we have ever done! It’s not even close. In 2018 we sang it in New York at Carnegie Hall with a 150 voice all-Canadian choir and an all-American orchestra of 80 musicians with my brother Dr. Laurier Fagnan conducting and it was a bucket-list moment to give us chills!!! We were vibrating when we left the stage WOW so thank you DAN FORREST for this very special experience. 👏❤️🇨🇦🎶

Olá, Dan! Sou Matheus Patrick, e escrevo do Brasil.

The Charleston (WV) Civic Chorus, joined by the West Virginia State University, presented the Requiem for the Living on May 10 with the chamber orchestra version. One of the most beautiful and moving works I have had the pleasure to sing. Our conductor and numerous others in the chorus (including me!) had tears in their eyes and goosebumps while we performed and I am told that many in the audience also cried throughout much of the piece. Thank you for your gift.

As you know, Dan, K-State is performing your REQUIEM this coming Sunday. Our daughter, who will receive her Master's in Vocal Performance from K-State on Fri., May 10, will be in the combination of "all choirs." I have purposely waited to listen until tonight, and am so thankful for this complete performance. Your music is profoundly other-earthly, in the very best sense of that tried and true phrase. I was born emotional and so it's not unusual for me to shed many tears during music so wonderfully beautiful, strong and moving. Even now, it's got it's "good hold" on my soul. Jan Kraybill and the Helzberg Hall Casavant organ will bring a decidedly additional sense of power to your fantastic and creative work. Jan never "covers" but supports with just the right amount. Don't know if you will be attending, but I hope to meet you in person if you are there. Keep up the great work. You're a hero to many a composer in our country and since I love KU, I'm so very proud that your Doctorate was earned there. If I recall, Frank Perez introduced us, on Facebook. Soli Deo Gloria, Dr. Forrest !!

Performed last night (11/16/14) at First United Methodist Church Round Rock (TX) by the Round Rock Community Choir (RRCC) with guests from the Round Rock Symphony, RRCC Youth Choir, and St Andrew's Episcopal School Select Choir from Austin. An incredibly impassioned experience that brought tears to my eyes from the sheer beauty of this music so sensitively and impeccably performed under the baton of Michael Rosensteel, artistic director. I believe that Dan Forrest would have been proud indeed to hear his music interpreted so well. Thank you Dan, for your continued gifts of the spirit to choirs all over the world.

Started listening a couple of hours ago and just finished. I can't stop listening. The best Requiem I've ever heard. The sound is awesome and the orchestra? Phenomenal! And who is the soloist at 34:00? Such a rich and clear voice. Wished there would have been more of him to sing. Hopefully Barnes and Noble will have it so that I can listen to it in my car. Now I want to get back to the best piece of music Mr. Forrest has written since "How Great Thou Art!" The piece? Jesus, We Look To Thee." Wow!!!!!!!

Such an amazing piece of music! My brother played this with a group last month and he shared it with me because he knew I would love it! I have watched this video at least once a day; the music just calls to me! My favorite parts are the oboe interjections (one of the most beautiful instruments) and also the Tenor solo in the Lux Aeterna! When that part comes in, it makes me think of God standing at the gates of heaven welcoming you into eternal rest and peace! Not sure if that was your intent, but that gives me goosebumps every time thinking about that! Well done, sir! I can't wait to check out some of your other music! :-)
