Roofs that are 15 years or older for asphalt shingle roofs may need to be reroofed prior to solar. And to find your main service panel and service disconnect, it should be right next to or below your smart meter. What's your service panel rating? 100amps, 125amps, 200 amps or 400amps?

I have cement tile roof. It’s 100 amp I think

Are the panel upgrades included in the price ? I was just quoted a price for solar and waiting for the pre inspection

It depends on if this was something that was discussed with your solar consultant or not. How old is your home? Do you know if you have a 100amp service disconnect or a 200amp? How big is your solar system in KW? If it's not included in the proposal, and you've already signed your solar agreement and financing, if it's deemed necessary after your site survey, then it's possible that you will need to sign a change order and the price will increase to include the MPU.

My solar system will be 20 panels I think 7 kw

He also said if anything. Most will be $500 more so I’ll hold him to his word because I had another estimate that included the upgrade to 200 amp
