I was just going to say that also. I’m a Union plumber/welder. You know though what ends up happening, you end up spending more money with the tankless becaus me you end up taking way longer showers lol. It’s more efficient though and it could be a boiler for like inflict heating as well. Don’t know tho would have to take a gander.

Freight rates are so high because of fuel costs. The other issue is the freight brokers. They Jack prices up and pocket a great deal. Try to get in touch with a trucking company, smaller if possible and cut out the brokerage charges. Smaller companies will bend over for good freight.

Paying someone to restock, real estate expense for housing it, opportunity costs of the store front compared to an item that does sell, and the reduction in tax liabilities as "losses" all compared to their items cost basis... Good luck. I purchased a full truckload of Home Depot stuff a couple years ago from Plainfield (Indianapolis) and brought it all back to my warehouse. About half of what was in there turned out to be complete junk: broken and unusable crap that went straight in the dumpster. After factoring in initial investment, transportation costs, labor to test/sort, and then costs to list, sell and ship what wasn't junk... the profit margin was negligible... never again.

I used to be a Kitchen Designer at a Home Depot. They do reduce items down to a penny but most customers never see those items. Employees usually grabbed that stuff the second it hit the sales floor. If you got the vintage stove, have it worked on and KEEP IT. You can't beat those vintage stoves. My grandma's 1930s stove was still cranking away when we sold the place in 1979.
