I can't believe I'm the first to comment on this video! This has everything that the Baja 1000 is all about. You can always expect the unexpected, you're going to have to interact with the locals one way or another because that is part of the experience, and at the end of it all, you can always count on the fact that you will have a story to tell when it's finally over.
