My Sister adopted a Rott female that was to drop 11 puppies in the next few days. She got her free because a male Chihuahua from next door ruined (impregnated ) her. The owner of the Rott got pictures which she use in court to sue the neighbor. Its a dog...they will find a way, Lol.' I guess after you have a pure breed ruined by a mixed litter you can't use the paperwork anymore, therefore, she got rid of her. Some pups were smaller and shorter than the others, but no deformities. The shorter ones were really cute. They were still brute in statue but much lower to the ground. Lucky they still have Rott markings. Everyone that got a pup knew the situation and laughed about it.

I have a little mutt puppy, and we were lucky enough to know where she directly came from. The people we got her from owned both parents. She is the sweetest little thing. My Dad had been worried that she might even be too much of a mutt, but she worked out perfectly. She is a beagle, terrier, blue healer, schnauzer mix. And I love her so so much. Mutts can make the best dogs.

We had our dog's DNA tested and found he had German shepherd, Border collie, Siberian husky, Golden retriever, Brittany spaniel and Pembroke Welsh corgi in his background! Tony was beautiful, inside and out. A dog with a heart of gold. RIP, my BFF. 😢😢😢

My dog Bud, unfortunately passed away last year at the age of 16. Bud had lived in a home when he was a puppy and was put into the newspaper for free. My mum went to the house and picked him up. He didn’t have a bed because the owners were terrified of him. My mum took him home and trained him. He was beautiful and kind, I could sit on him when I was very little and read attempt to read books to him. He didn’t care one bit. I miss you Bud ❤️❤️❤️

We have a rescue dog. He was flown from Louisiana all the way up to us in the Midwest. He is the sweetest dog in the whole world. He was rescued by the people on the tv show pit bulls and paroles and appeared on the show for a few minutes. They tested him and he is a beagle boxer mix. He is the best dog in the whole world.❤️

My dog, Rex, was a rescue mutt as well. He looks a lot like Humphrey. We did a DNA test and found out that he was 50% purebred Rottweiler, and then one of his parents was an American Staffordshire Terrier mixed with a boxer/bulldog mix. Google "red Rottweiler" and my dog pretty much looks just like them.

I live in the south where it hits 100+ degrees in the summer. I feel like it's animal cruelty for these poor pups to live in such conditions. That's like forcing a person to live in a winter coat 24/7 in the summer. It breaks my heart when I see someone walking a husky in 100 degree weather.

giving a double coated dog a fur trim is just as bad cause the bottom coat grows faster then the top which causes a bunch of different problems like coat impaction and matting.also sun burn cause the coat protects their skin from the sun. huskies actually stay cooler when you don't shave them cause the way their fur works is during the warm months they don't have a under coat which allows air to move freely over their skin cooling them down.when you shave them they can't shed their under coat any more cause it becomes impacted and is damaged forever.

Dogs can regulate their body temperature, that's why some huskies and malamutes will have more fur in the summer compared to others. It is not cruelty, and there are many other options to help keep a dog cool such as Cooling coats, also their NATURAL fur will allow wind to get through keeping them cool.

These tests can be very wrong, people have tried it on their purebreds and gotten results saying they have a ton of different breeds in them. I think it is really hard to know for certain what breed a dog is by looking at it's DNA, because all breeds was at some point a mixture of other breeds. So I guess it's difficult finding different genes to separate the breeds from each other

Mixed breeds are actually healthier than standard pure bred dogs. A lot of pure breds are more prone to diseases. Widening the gene pool only makes for a more healthy animal. I love my four mutts! I don't really care what they are, they're mine, that's all that matter to me.

David Taylor the most vicious dog I've ever met was a Chihuahua, all of pitbulls I've met (and trust me when I say A LOT) are the sweetest dogs I have ever met/owned. It all depends on how you train the dogs, for example, never hit a dog for punishment, just yell "NO" "BAD" to them and they get the point. I've trained a lot of animals and I hate when people stereotype an animal, it's like when people say black cats are evil. No, they are not evil, they are just cats.

I have a rescue and would never consider getting a dog any other way, but a lot of people I know have breeder dogs because they wanted to know what they were getting, as a whole package of temperament, size, exercise or grooming needs. what gets my goat is people who get purebreds, knowing full well how big it is going to get, it's grooming and exercise needs, and at least an approximation of temperament, and then give them up for things they knew were going to happen. Like the saying goes, a puppy is not just for Christmas.

They are both from the same lineage. The UKC named them American Pit Bull Terrier while the AKC named them American Staffordshire Terrier. They are pretty much the same thing.

Ha! these people got way more info out of that test then I ever have. My family seems to have a knack for picking super mutts! The shelter guessed dog was Australian Shepard Mix but all the DNA could detect was a single grandparent that was a Collie Mix. My parent's dog was a similar mystery.

Tyra Olivia depends on the breed. Larger dogs should be bought from breeders due to them being more prone to health problems. Breeders test their dogs. It all depends on someone’s personal preference

Pit Bull breeds are such amazing family dogs. Staffies in particular tend to think they are lap dogs, which is difficult considering they weight so much due to their muscle density, lol. But so much damn love
