In retrospect this clip is so infightful and on point. The end point is her name calling Garrett with the sole reason to put him down. She was a great character to show a true insufferable hypocrit to the bone.

The dark sense of humor within a unit of firefighters, police, military, etc. is just different. It's hard for someone who doesn't have 1st hand experience with it to understand why it isn't offensive.

Don't understand why so many people Gen Z would be perturbed by this. It was one of the first shows to acknowledge that domestic violence occurs among same-sex couples and that men too can experience sexual violence. This show brought feminism, race, queer, mental health, and more into traditional (toxic) masculine spaces, and shows these "lads" growing with the times or failing miserably for hiding everything in their booze, while at the same honouring the complexity of their humanity. It's brusque as fuck, but Denis O'Leary is hella intelligent. That and it was Gen Z that tarred a whole generation of WASP women with one word. Gen Z don't need aggression, they'll find other ways to get under our skin 😀
@AndreySloan_is_a_cnut2 жыл бұрын
As a whole, Gen Z is a bunch of useless, sniveling, pus sacks. I thought nothing could be worse than the Millennials, apparently Gen Z took that as a challenge.

I think she was perfect for the role because that voice made her annoying and this action of hers showed that she wasnt ready and a hypocrit. So her voice kind of signalled her character wich played the victim game and "everyone has to change for me because I am a woman" attitude.
