@@Biffo1262 he still saved her. He didn’t give up on her. I feel some people give up after being on the job so long, and seems so much death. I guess he wanted to be the one that didn’t give up the character I know it’s fiction. But it is based on real human experiences.

@@Weegee766 if i remember correctly,on this episode,everyone was trying to quit smoking.And so if anybody smoked they han to Pay a penalty and that money was going to be given to the man who lasted the most without smoking.i believe that the fee for getting caught smoking was like 100 dólars,so in fact he is in a very notorioulsy way telling the guys that he hay won the right to smoke in their face without consequences.

The first three seasons of this show were pure genius and as good as the first three seasons of any other show in the Golden Age of TV. The characters were so good that the show remained watchable, but man those first three seasons were amazing.

@@mkultra8729 I hear that! One and two are def amazing. I say season three too because I really like the first half and one of my favorite scenes in the series is when Tommy discovers Johnny is banging Janet and subsequently brutally beats him. But I think the show jumped the shark with the Tommy / Janet rape scenes in that season. Season four was terrible and def agree five was better than 6,7 and 4 but it was hard for me to really love the show after the awfulness of season 4, particularly when Jerry killed himself after getting in shape and rekindling his relationship with his son. I hated that. It was done for shock value. The actor who played Jerry was even pissed about that.

I love this show and this scene. Tommy's life is a f*%#ing train wreck but he is the best fire fighter out there. I love the expression on everyone's face after he saves the little girl. Plus the song rocks.

Seeing this for the first time had me crying and smiling.. I hid from an awful break up inside rescue me. The show seemed to follow people around and write the heartache they suffer.. I know things like this have happend in real life.. The real version of events pales all fiction before it.. Everything in rescue me was perfect at that moment. As soon as the little girl is resuscitated the first thing she says is "MOMMY". FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS.. Directing, writing, acting, music, etc.. LOU'S LOOK. "Hes the Mick" Lou talking about Tommy. Dennis Leary impressed me.. He carried the show . The Rick Grimes of the FDNY. Rage Tommys brother felt during Bonnie Brae.. Tommy was Cursed and alone with it like Jax Teller and Tony Soprano. However Tommy Gavin created more life than death. His heroic acts redeemed his soul.. Tommy's choice to give his son Connor a toy shotgun turns into a beautiful scence.... The death of Tommys son Connor was heartbreaking.. His brother and dad to.. we believe Tommy is being robbed at a bar by a young guy pointing a shotgun.. The guy is actually Tommy's son connor grown up.. Tommy is imagining the whole thing.. Hes relapsed... Drunk.. In his mind he wrestles away the shotgun. when he's actually grabbed the shotgun from behind the bar.. Tommy racks and fires at the robber... Who disappeared for they where never there... while Tommy is arguing with the ghosts of his deceased loved ones. Lous voice becoming a thunder clap that woke Tommy to Reality.. After Tommy's brother mayham had intercourse with Tommy's wife it became official.. Tommy's wife had sex with new york.. Doing it shortly after Jada Pickit Smith did it. Joining Jessica Parker and the thots..

Amazing episode! This was when they all agreed to quit smoking and whoevet did would have to put money in the piggy bank, in the end Gavin lights one right after a brief but successful battle of saving the girls life, he lights up and nobody said a word, Tommy was such a badass sometimes.

Tommy, a hell raiser, raising the dead. This girl would have gone to heaven, tommy brings her back to life. Tommy does not understand God and death, as shown by his thoughts on 9/11. He saves the girl, but does he really? He saves her from a terrible death. But after death her soul is free. Tommy brings her back to the world of pain. A heroic effort, for himself mostly, because he didn't want to let go, regardless if he wanted to save her. He didn't do a bad thing but he meddled directly with God and performed a miracle, like Jesus, but tommy is an antichrist, he's a devil, his redeeming factors his loyalty and selflessness. Right after he strikes up, burning his life force away to cope with stress of his job. Rejecting life and his health, fighting to keep the innocent alive. In the chaos, finds harmony. Tommy is tommy, but the work needed to be done is completed, the fire is fought, the saves are made, and the booze is the drank.
