I started watching this show when I was in college, when it originally aired. It was Tommy's character that tought me about what kind of men women are actually attracted to. I stopped trying to be the nice guy. And my 20s was a very fun time for me. This was long before any of the red pill or manospere stuff started coming out.

But thats because Learys ego went to his head and he wrote way too forced drama storylines and dialog later in the series. The show was meant as an ensemble changing between drama and comedy incuding all main characters . Leary made it all about himself at some point and to do that created a lot of unbelievable drama for his character. Also he was inconsistent in how he developed the characters later in the show. It was just too much and changed into a soap opera, but the first seasons were gold and these characters had a ton of redeeming qualities.
