Many people would love to rescue but don't have the space to do so. Instead, I encourage everyone who can't rescue animals for whatever reason ... find a rescue that touches your heart and donate to them. Donate your time or resources if you can't afford to donate money. If you don't have time to volunteer than donate money. Those things are just as important as rescuing as all rescues also rely the kindness of others to continue doing what they do. Be kind to yourself, your pets and each other.❤

I had a really good time playing with my uncle's goat a long time ago. I'd never spent any time with a goat before, so I was just really impressed with how intelligent, friendly, and interactive they are.

This is so funny. We had a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats for my soap making business. We were called and asked to resuce a "mini mancha" that had kidded and was in milk. So we agreed to adopt her sight unseen. Well, she was not the least bit mini, but was a full sized La Mancha and she was the most trouble we ever had. She learned to open gates, she beat up the little girls and wouldn't let them eat, she wouldn't let anyone milk her but me, she learned to climb onto the roof of their house and get out. Oh my gosh. She was something and every day was an adventure. We kept her for 4 years but she got increasingly mean to the little girls and in the end we re-homed her to a family that raised La Mancha's and had more room than we did and it was a good match for her. They are something!!

Every animal feels and has the capability to show love. I have chickens, they’re so sweet and silly. Never been about eggs for me, I just adore my girls! Some people think I’m nuts and I always get “they’re just chickens” they have no idea how much more they are. I had four goats years ago and many , many other animals including exotic animals. Goats are my favorite! They will keep you laughing all the time. One of our goats was like a dog. We walked her on a leash and she drove in our van to go were we went.

What adorable characters! 😂 It’s so rewarding to see rescued animals’ personalities blossom! 🎉 It breaks my heart how people compartmentalize “farm” animals (translation: animals destined for slavery or slaughter) as being different than any other animal. All animals have feelings, including chickens, cows, pigs, dogs, cats, horses, goats, etc. I can’t bear to cause them any suffering, so I haven’t eaten meat for 55 years and counting. The meat and dairy industries are hideously cruel to innocent suffering souls. Animals are our brethren, and they need our protection and love! ❤
