Rescue of a conscious weak swimmer

It's not always easy to perform perfect rescues, the environment can force you to adapt your plan, stay focused and concentrate on the key principles.
a. Maintain observation of the casualty throughout the rescue
b. On approaching the casualty adopt a safe stand- off position.
c. Communicate to the casualty reassuring them throughout.
d. Gives clear concise instructions on the use of the tube to the casualty.
e. Return casualty to shore using rescue tube via an approved method.
