One should never take chances with a wild elephant. Be kind as the kind villagers have shown. But keep distance. In the end of the video the same man who fed the elephant, ventured near and was pushed. Hopefully it was not serious, it seems. The video ended abruptly. But on the whole this was an excellent video.

Initially this elephant was hiding in small jungle nearby people home, he was in great fear that people might beat him, when i heard this I rushed there immediately in the early morning n i tried to capture video everybody was asking me not to go near him, it's dangerous, I dare to go a bit near before a villager shout a fake name saying as Aa maalti aa, n this elephant comes out, n seeing this everyday run away including me too but he was v docile.

I have been in north bengal for years and I know elephant comes out of jungle sometimes and they just take a little walk of the society and leave.... I have come across some incident where elephants have killed people by crushing them with their feet but such situations occurred very less... If we behave they behave, if we misbehave then you can't imagine what they could do with just a little movement of their feet.... so love animals and at the same time don't take them for granted...
