This is so heartwarming yet disturbing at the same time. It angers me to know that their misery is caused by man's greed. Yet, there are angels on earth that pick up the pieces of their little shattered lives. What a testament of humanity! The agape love from all you carers is why they survive. Just as a reminder, this infant’s mother was _not_ killed by ivory hunters, but died from unknown natural causes. If you watch footage of her rescue again, you’ll see that the mother’s tusks were still there.

I read the description, but this doesn't make sense to me. Lions would not have gone after the mother elephant, they are opportunists and would not waste immense energy trying to take down a nursing mother. I just find this very hard to believe.

I don't think most people realize just how fragile these babies are. Being orphaned brings so many challenges. Mental deterioration from trauma, dietary changes, group acceptance. It takes a lot of knowledge to be able to discern their problems and needs. I admire the keepers who give up being with or even having a family to devoted their lives 24/7 to these animals and the world is a better place for them. Thank you❤

You are correct❤ Most do not know. Most people who love elephants know very little about them beyond " cute." I STRUGGLE with it daily on social media. It's alarming how many "likes" a video of clear abuse ( Asian elephants in captivity) receive because people do not know elephant behavior. The signs of distress. 😢

I really want to give a big Thanks to your organization on behalf of myself and many other Safari hunters. You and your donors are going to give us the best hunting weve ever seen in about 5 years when these babies became insatiable adults put into a shrinking habit. Most definitely there will be an overpopulation problem, these beasts will destroy entire ecosystems and they will either be a cull or they will sell hunting licenses begging for us to come correct the trainwreck you and your donors will cause. The Rhinos horns are for the keratin, they orphan so many.....I wonder how many women, if they knew their regular straitening treatments made an orphan baby Rhino...if they would find another treatment that was cruelty free? There are also other animals that are hunted for their keratin too, I looked it up the other day and I was depressed for days.......sometimes it takes all of my strength to find out this information and then it haunts me for a long time until I can. We can all become more aware and look at the products we use to see what they contain.....then it is a matter of making a decision for the god of the animals, less demand, less killing.
