Yeah I am not even a huge animal rights guy and I agree with you on this. That is amazingly cruel to have an animal under their care and they neglect it for extended periods. If you can't take care of it you had better find someone who can. Watching them try to walk with their overgrown hooves embedded with stones was painful.

@@fleivor5359 when we domesticated them, we become responsible for them. Especially when we take them out of the environment they evolved in. I'm pretty sure wild donkeys would wear down their hooves on rocky foothills and scrub lands but not sand or grasslands. My question is why the nose screw. Seems pretty extremely torturous. And tying up one leg? Such rough handling only makes it harder to handle them next time. Trim regularly and reward frequently so it never gets to this extreme. If you can't do light trims and check your donkey's feet regularly you don't deserve that donkey.

These hoof growths are from years of neglect not days, not even months but YEARS. If the owners rely on these animals to make income, then some of that income should be set aside to take care of the animal that provides the income. It's called common sense.
