I worked at this place for years, I learned of this because of a customer in the drive thru telling me.

When the helicopter came the suspects were doomed. Almost no way to escape them. Like the old police cars on this show. This one has Chevy Caprices. Mid 1991 would see a big design change.

Did they say that fast-food restaurant branch was in Bakersfield, California? Aw man. Not Dwight Yoakam's hometown (yes the late 20th century country singer)! I wonder if that was in Dwight's neighborhood or if he was in the area earlier that day. The guy who called the cops, Dave, was either a janitor or just one of those short-order servers you'd see in your average fast-food joint. I say he should've been promoted to team leader in that branch for calling the police the second (or millisecond) he saw that first crook. Now that's what I call thinking on your feet.

That dispatcher asked too much questions before she can make a report to the cops for them too go over there

Well the dispatchers need as much information as they can ask for about the robberies so that they can know exactly what is going on

Back then, the 911 system was still new. Even today 911 operators will ask you for an encyclopedia worth of info.

The employee shouldn't have taken the order of the customers. You do not take a chance in a situation like that when people's lives (including her own) were hanging in the balance.

Wouldn’t it look a tad suspicious if she said, “sorry it will be a 20 minute wait on food due to a robbery in progress”?

I kept taking orders at this location during a small earth quake can't let the customers wait!

@@ashio8236 and in addition to that he left that register for last. What's even more suspicious is.. sorry we don't have any change for you.. why not? Because we're being robbed.. the customer whether or not they were oblivious just might have provided just enough of a delay that ment the difference between these guys being apprehended or getting away

I'm annoyed not only that she took the order, but that the customer asked for additional items prolonging the risk she was taking. Ketchup and salt in totally in material!

@@ashio8236 and not only that. They waited to have her empty that register. Even more suspicious. Sorry ma'am we don't have change.. for a $10?? Why don't you have change,?? Because we're being robbed and he just cleaned this register out. As so that actually slowed the robbers down by a couple minutes. Whether or not the driver through customer was aware or totally oblivious is something that isn't quite clear. However just that in and of itself provided a delay. Which could of ment the difference between them being apprehended or them getting away

Why would he call 911 just outside the restaurant? He should’ve gone down the street or another store to call 911. Why didn’t he do that?
@irishamaranth25745 жыл бұрын
He ran to the closest phone to get help asap. He was not about to leave his co-workers. This restaurant chain (different location) had previously lost employees (they were killed) during a robbery.
