I did NOT appreciate being so blindsided by an owl video
@siiiiiuu75 ай бұрын
I'd normally be taken aback but I think the movie is based on a true story about a man and his lifelong penguin friend. Actually a beautiful story. Can't get mad at it 😂

I'm always amazed how despite being raised/cared for by humans animals can be released into the wild and survive. I think people who do this kind of work are truly special human beings. I don't understand how it works but glad that it does and that people like this exist.

How do they survive in the wild after being fed by humans though? Are we sure that their natural instincts just kick in? Asking because I’m genuinely curious how that works. What a sweet owl! 🦉
@spiralpython19894 ай бұрын
@@kassm9412yes i wondered about that too. It’s very rare for human-hand raised owls and birds of prey in my country to be released without extensive ‘rewilding’, taking many months.

Um .. we just saw it being released- for all we know it died a week later 😮 This is a horrible way to nurse them to realease😔😔. This poor bird won’t be scared of humans, dogs and wasn’t taught at all to find its own food! This women needs to learn to stop handling and coddling a wild animal!!! They need as little interaction with human as possible She Needs to recreate ways for them to be independent and learn how to hunt and find their own food Not handled like a baby, kissed, patted, hand feed!!! Like stop!! She probably killed this poor bird with no real life skills and thinking humans are safe 😮 This bird needs to be released in a sanctuary I’ve watched soooo many videos about animals being rehabilitated and released … and she literally did everything WRONG stop spreading misinformation- This is damaging to wild life The fact she says that it could fly back to her Perch one day shows deep down she know he’s not rewilded A rewilded animal would not come close to humans / rely on humans period 😮 She just trained a wild pet - let’s hope this poor thing lives into adulthood 😢😢😢😢

I lived at a halfway house in Annapolis MD and there was this owl that would come chill with us on the back porch. Never seen anything like it. Must of had a similar human experience early on or something but it was so cool. It actually helped all the ex cons and drug addicts sobering up get along hahaha!
